Seaguar Knit - Step 1
Start
To start, overlap the ends of two similar diameter lines for about 6" inches.

Step 1
Take one end and form a loop, leaving about 8" inches of working end extending beyond the loop.

Tie a loose uni-knot, making six (6) turns around the towlines and leave the loop open.

Feed the tag end through the open loop, and then pull it…

…to form a snug tight knot around the line.

Repeat steps 1, 2 & 3 in the same order, to form a snug tight knot with the other line.

Cinch up both knots -- by pulling the two standing lines in opposite directions -- to slide the knots snugly together.

Trim the ends close to nearest knot and you’re done!

Double Uni-Knot

The Double Uni-Knot is a bit tricky to tie and requires you to repeat several steps in order to complete this knot. It may be helpful play and pause the animation to view each step in detail. PRO TIP

Remember, to tie a good tight knot it is important give yourself enough line to work with, and to keep your lines very moist. A good tip from one of our pros on keeping your line moist and pliable is to use Chap Stick - Try it; it's a wonderful thing!
